Title Company Survey


I am happy to announce that this office will be officially re-opened for ALL services effective Monday April 5th, 2021. Department operations will be available as they were pre-pandemic with a few variables. While we will no longer require specific appointment times, I am requesting that the title companies continue to upload all images of only their transfer documents (deeds; affidavits; DTE Forms + any attachments) prior to coming in to record. We want to retain our ability to review your transfer submissions to ensure that they meet all policies & procedures before you arrive to file.

I have amended & streamlined the APPOINTMENT link wherein you will only have to choose “Morning” or “Afternoon” when scheduling to file. Morning filing period is 8:30AM to 11:00PM and afternoon filing period is 1:00PM to 3:30PM. To schedule a morning filing you must submit and upload your deeds by 2:30PM the prior day. To schedule an afternoon filing you must submit and upload your documents by 9:30AM the morning of your “APPOINTMENT”. You can then come in at any time during your selected filing period to transfer & record your documents.

I have assigned my Quality Assurance Department the responsibility of reviewing all submissions and to data enter the transfer information prior to your filer’s arrival. If you need to add more transfer documents after they have been initially submitted, simply email them to docs@cuyahogacounty.us. We do ask that you let us know if any of your deals cancel, so that we can remove the data from the pending file in our real property system. Either let your cashier know at the time of filing or reply to your appointment reminder.

The dropbox will remain available to any company who wishes to continue to drop off their filings. However, as it was prior to the pandemic, in person filings will obviously receive priority. That said, we will of course continue to work diligently to complete ALL submissions in a timely fashion.

For any Plat filings, please submit a copy of the proposed plat to taxmap@cuyahogacounty.us. Once the plat has been OK’d by the Engineer, they will contact you to come in and record your plat.
