Valuation of Property

By state law, the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer is responsible to see that every parcel of land and the buildings thereon are fairly and uniformly appraised and assessed for tax purposes. The County Fiscal Officer maintains a detailed record of the appraisal on each parcel in Cuyahoga County.

In accordance with state law, The County Fiscal Officer is to conduct a reappraisal every six years; an update every three years; and a valuation of improvements based upon building permits received from each city annually.
